Christopher Scott "Kebo" Garrett, age 46, of St. Augustine, FL passed away on January 23, 2009, at Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine.

He was born in Tampa where he attended Twin Lakes Elementary, Oak Grove and Adams junior high schools, and Chamberlain High School. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army, where he was a medic specialist. He attended University of South Florida, and in 1989 received his degree as a nuclear medicine technologist at Hillsborough Community College, where he was in Who' s Who and was class president. He accepted a position at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, and worked there until the last few years, when he worked for Dr. Lawrence Matthews as a specialist in nuclear cardiology.

Chris is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Lyn" Garrett; daughter, Rachel Lee Garrett; and stepson, Michael Skinner, all of St. Augustine; his parents, Dr. William Garrett and Helen Switzer Garrett of Tampa; sisters, Pamela Garrett McCabe of Minneapolis and Patricia Garrett Bernstein of Asheville, NC; and his grandmother, Faye Newman Garrett of Carmi, IL.

Chris touched many lives, always loving and being loved. His outgoing personality made him easy to talk to and his ability to listen endeared him to everyone. He had varied interests, including reading and studying William Blake' s works under his father' s guidance, and pursuing outdoor sports, especially fishing. He was a member of Pentecostal Fellowship Center in St. Augustine.

Visitation will be held 5 to 7 PM with services at 6 PM on Friday at Pentacostal Fellowship Center, 1065 Kings Estate Rd., St. Augustine. Thanks to all who expressed their well wishes and blessings. He will be sorely missed and remembered dearly. His Tampa growing-up buddies will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Junior Diabetes Foundation, in care of Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Highway, St. Augustine, FL 32086.
