Nancy C. Ingram passed away on January 26, 2016 in Tallahassee, Florida.
She was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, on May 14, 1942, and is survived by her husband of almost 27 years, Carlton Ingram of Tallahassee, and by her brother, John Camp, and his wife Joanna of Birmingham, Alabama, as well as three nieces and two nephews.
Nancy was a lifelong educator. She graduated from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and from FSU with a master's degree in speech therapy as a member of the first graduating class in that program.
Nancy brought love and joy to her family and to numerous friends, relatives, and colleagues who loved her dearly.
She loved gardening and flowers (especially roses), decorating, sewing, singing, and dancing to live music with Carlton at the Towne Club of Tallahassee's formal dances. Nancy was a member of the Beta Phi Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (the Educational Society of Key Women Educators), the Tallahassee Civic Chorale, and the Tallahassee Garden Club (Buttercup Circle).
Nancy was a beautiful and gracious true Southern lady.
Instead of flowers, well wishers are encouraged to make donations to Big Bend Hospice (www.bigbend hospice.org/donate) or the Tallahassee Civic Chorale (www.civicchorale.org/app/support.html).
Funeral services will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home at 700 Timberlane Road, Saturday, January 30, at 2:00 o'clock, with visitation beginning at 1:00 o'clock. Burial will follow the service.
