Services for David Lee Lusk, 41, of Tulsa, Okla., are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, in the chapel at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Memorial Park.

David left this world all too soon on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, at his home in Tulsa, Okla.

David was born on May 30, 1965, in Tyler to Bob and Shirley Lusk. He lived his early life in Tyler and returned many times to live here over the years. David was a loving and caring child who grew into a charming and hard-working man. For most of his adult life, he was a lineman for power companies all over the country. He loved what he did and loved to "talk shop" with anyone who would listen. David loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing and boating. He was a generous man and a good friend to many who knew him. Just this Thanksgiving, he and his wife's family cooked Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless at their restaurant in Tulsa. But more than anything, he loved his family, most especially his adoring wife, Afsaneh. David's light shone brightly during his time on earth, and his memory will continue to shine in our hearts eternally.

David was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Lusk, and his grandparents. James Oliver Gilmore, Charles Patrick Lusk and Blanche Lusk Melson.

He is survived by his wife, Afsaneh Lusk of Tulsa, Okla.; sons, Ryan and Rainey Lusk of Grand Prairie; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Dan Hoffmeyer of Wylie; grandmother, Marie Gilmore of Tyler; sister and brother-in-law, Deanna and Scott Dancy of Haslet; stepbrother, Lance Hoffmeyer of Denton; stepsister, Michelle Cannon of Wylie; mother-in-law, Fafa Joon of Tulsa, Okla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Afshin and Solmaz Naghavi, Moe Adib and Mastaneh Naghavi, and Ali Naghavi, all of Tulsa, Okla.; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Gilmore, Scott Dancy. Afshin Naghavi, Moe Adib, Billy Joe Levy and Marty Levy.
