2016 Jan 24 - Ludington - Winona olia Ashley was born Friday 29 Mar 1918 in Cadillac to Harley Lee & Anna Justine (Beugnot) Ashley. She married Rudolph O 'Pat' Anderson Wednesday 20 Sep 1939. She graduated from Cadillac High School and later moved to Ludington, where she and her husband owned and operated Anderson Mobile Home Trailer Park for 27 years. While in Ludington, she attended Emanuel Lutheran Church for many years and was active in the birthday club and women's circle. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She will be remembered as a person that enjoyed helping others.

Winona Iolia (Ashley) Anderson, of Ludington, formerly of Cadillac, died Sunday morning 24 Jan 2016 at the age of 97 y 9 m 25 d at Tendercare of Ludington. Survivors included 1 son, Richard & Janet Anderson; 4 grandchildren, Christie & Christopher Sheats, Robert & Sara Byer, Cheryl & Chris Orvis, and Carol & Andrew Dean; 10 great-grandchildren, Dustin Falor, Sarah Kreisman, Brian Dull, Robert Byer II, Russell Byer, Allyson Orvis, Evan Orvis, Alayna Orvis, Ella Sheats and Caitlyn Dean; 1 sister-in-law, Eileen Ashley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph 24 Mar 2006, 1 son, Larry Lee Anderson 22 Aug 1945; her parents, Harley 05 Jun 1944 & Anna 14 Jun 1959; 2 brothers, Francis Harley 'Frank' Ashley 07 May 2005, and Glen Ashley; and 1 sister, Alice Hill; and 2 half-brothers, Duwayne Guy 'Wayne' Palmitier 06 Jan 1985, Ellison Palmitier.

Visitation was 5-8 pm Thursday 28 Jan 2016 at Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. Funeral services were 11 am Friday 29 Jan 2016 at Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Terry and Molly Whetstone officiating.

Burial was in Block 10, Lot 12 in Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
