Bill Jerry (BJ) Mitchell of Edmond, OK was born in Oklahoma City, OK on October 26, 1942 to John & Opal Mitchell and died on January 27, 2016. He was a loving husband, father, and Papa to his grandkids. He loved music, laughter, and motorcycle road trips. BJ was known for being able to play two saxophones at one time and harmonize with himself. He was an active listener and a great teacher. Tennis, boxing, and football were his favorite sports. He could be the life of the party and also make you feel very special and loved. BJ was preceded in death by his father John and his mother Opal. He is survived by his wife Marian Mitchell of Edmond, OK, his brother Jimmy Mitchell of Oklahoma City, OK, his sister Sally Sherman of Edmond, OK, his daughter Jennifer Bardell of Edmond, OK, his daughter Melissa Foreman of Houston, TX, his son James Mitchell of Oklahoma City, OK, his step son Rick Sluder of Choctaw, OK, his step son Chad Sluder of Franklin, NC, and 8 grandchildren.

Life celebration service will be held at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel on Saturday, January 30th, at 2PM.
