Emma I. Bush, 88, of LaFayette, died Saturday at Loretto. A native and life resident of LaFayette, she was the daughter of the late, Lester and Ava Crysler Nicholas. Mrs. Bush owned and operated Children's House of Discovery from 1974-1994 where she encouraged children to learn and was the beginning of many successful careers. Emma had many interests and activities, and loved line dancing. She was predeceased by her husband, DeForrest Bush in 1993; daughter, Christina and son, Roger Bush both in 1966, and several siblings. Surviving are a daughter, Candice (Ralph) Chambers; brother, Robert (Betty) Nicholas; sister, Bertha "Birdie" French; brother-in-law, Carl Wager; grandchildren, Shane (Sally) Chambers and Angelique (Debbie) Chambers; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the LaFayette VFW.
