Patsy Ruth Nelson, 73, of Princeton Avenue, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 22, 1942 in Tip Top, VA, she was a daughter of the late Charles Thomas Hampton and Dorothy Hampton Nelson. She had been a resident of Bluefield for most of her life and was of the Holiness faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Lee Nelson; brothers, Alfred, Raymond, Charles, Jr., and William Hampton; and sisters, Nancy Mullins, Beulah Belcher and Lavina (Carol) Rose.
Survivors include:

Sons: William E. Nelson and Dana of Princeton
Robert Curtis Nelson and Karen of Rosedale, WV
Daughters: Teresa Loman and Lonnie of Bastian, VA

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Chris Stansell officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with grandsons and friends serving as pallbearers.
