WINNSBORO (Special) — Funeral services for John E. Walker, 89, of Wisner, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today in King's Pentecostal Church near Wisner with the Rev. Jesse Boothe and the Rev. T. J. Mahoney officiating.

Burial was to be in Holly Grove cemetery near Wisner under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Walker died in a Wisner rest home Sunday morning. A retired farmer, he was a native of Monticello, Miss.

Surviving are three sons, W. E. Walker, Wisner, O. W. Walker, Winnsboro, and Smith, Vidalia; two daughters, Mrs. Doskey Armstrong and Mrs. Alma Ferrington, both of Wisner; a brother, Willie Walker, Wisner; a half sister, Mrs. Florence Mason, Monticello, Miss.; 23 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
