LeRoy "Mickey" Saunders

Harrison, formerly of Webberville

Mickey was born in Webberville, MI on November 11, 1920 and passed away on January 21, 2016 in Gladwin, MI.

Mickey was in the Army Air Corp and was a WWII, Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was proud of his country and proud to be an American.

Mickey retired from AT&T Phone Company where he was a repair supervisor.

Mickey loved his dogs, Miss Dixie and Benji, and everyone knew it.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Saunders and son, Gordon Saunders.

He is survived by daughters, Patricia Arruda, Marlia Dielman, Janine (Steve) Makowski, and Sandra Nelson; sons, Michael Saunders, Philip (Yvonne) Saunders, and Bradley (Marcia) Saunders ; stepdaughters Joyce (Jim Snodgrass) Smith, Janice (Edward) Mikek; stepson Dennis (Patty) Hummel along with many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St, Williamston, MI, with visitation 11am-2pm Thursday prior to service.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ, 211 W Spruce St, Harrison, MI 48625.
