Carole A. Betts, 64, of Ellwood City, passed away the morning of January 15, 2014 at the home of her son in New Castle. Born April 7, 1949 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Fred and Florence Micco Mancini. She married Gayle W. Betts on August 31, 1968. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2012. Carole worked in the cafeteria at Laurel High School and was a member of First Assembly of God. She enjoyed camping and spending summers at the lake.
She is survived by her three sons and one daughter-in-law, Rodney Betts and his wife Erin of New Castle, Stephen Betts of Ellwood City, and Fred Betts of Butler; one brother, Gary Mancini and his wife Debbie of New Castle; and one granddaughter, Alicia Ann Betts.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Mancini.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 2021 Pulaski Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Sunday, January 19, 2014, at 5:00 at the church and will be officiated by Rev. Chad Stoecker.
Burial will be in Castle View Gardens. Arrangements are by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
