Gene married Joan Reising on April 20, 1963 in Omaha, NE. To this union, 4 children were born: Pam, Kim, Steve, and Jenny. Gene was a truck driver and he owned and operated O’Neill Transfer, hauling general commodities. He also worked for Wynne Transfer out of Omaha, NE, hauling liquid in tanker trucks. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #701 for 51 years, a member of the O’Neill Country Club for many years, and a member of the O’Neill Eagles Club.
