Shirley L. Carl, 57, of Trexlertown died Sunday in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township after being stricken. She was the wife of Jackson G. Carl. They were married 36 years.
She was a button sewer at the former Kutztown Sportswear Co. for many years.
Born in Mertztown, she was a daughter of Maude (Smith) Muth of Allentown and the late Alton Muth Sr.
She was a past vice president of the Good Will Fire Co. Auxiliary, Trexlertown.
Survivors: Husband and mother; son, Daniel Albright of Trexlertown; daughter, Debra, wife of Joseph Stern of Macungie; brother, Alton Jr. of Alburtis; sisters, Madeline Rothermel of Allentown, Rose, wife of James Moyer of Stony Run, Nancy, wife of Steven Vuchak of Coopersburg, and Gloria, wife of Raymond Lamp of Reading, and five grandchildren.
