Joseph Steven Perez, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, was called home by the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the age of 64. He was born on August 1, 1951 to Eluterio C. and Conception (Garcia) Sifuentez in San Antonio. Joseph was a bartender for many years at La Fonda on Main where he developed the recipe for Steve's Margarita. He was a kind and gentle soul who helped raise his siblings. He will be very dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Conception G. Sifuentez; grandmother, Maria De La Luz Garcia and numerous aunts. He is survived by his father, Eluterio C. Sifuentez; sisters, Ermelinda Garcia (Joe), Imelda G. Sifuentez, Genevieve Torres (Phillip), Amabel Sifuentez Lopez; brothers, Javier G. Sifuentez (Yvonne) and Gerard (Jerry) G. Sifuentez. Also left to cherish his memory are numerous nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 3:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, 520 N. Gen. McMullen. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 9:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II. -
