Eva Bell Boyd, of Rockford departed this life Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Swedish American Hospital. She was born January 15, 1944 in Laurel, MS the daughter of George and Annie Bell Clark. Eva lived in Rockford since 1979 coming from Detroit, Michigan. She married Willie C Boyd, in 1968 in Mississippi. She was employed as a Parent Educator by Rockford Board of Education in the Montessori Program. Eva was a member of Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church in Ellisville, MS. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in MS and attended Highland College.
Eva leaves to cherish many loving memories, two sons, Jeffrey (Kayla) Boyd and Frederick Shawn Boyd; daughter, Tonia (Eric) Goodloe; two daughters that she raised as her own , Alexandria Boyd and Audrianna Blake; two stepsons, Willie (Christina) Boyd and Terry (Vickie) Boyd; 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; two brothers, William (Jean) Clark , Alvin (Anna ) Clark, and Matthew (Bae) Legget; two sisters, Ernestine (Roosevelt) Gowens, and Dorothy Pruitt; a host of other relatives and friends, including special cousins Gladys Kelly and Joe Keys.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Services were held Friday, January 29, 2016 at All Nations Worship Center 4747 W. Riverside, Rockford, IL.
