State Rep. Glenda Dawson ,65; passed away on September 12, 2006

State Representive Glenda Dawson, 29th District in the State of Texas House of Reprsentatives.
She served two terms in the Texas House after being elected in November 2002.
She was member of the Public Education,Public Health, Higher Education and House Administration Committees.
A public school teacher for 34 years,Glenda received the 1989 "Pearland ISD Teacher of the Year".
She was an Adjunct Professor and an avid Instructional Supervisor for Secondary Teacher at the Univ.of Houston.
In 2000, Pearland ISD created the "Glenda Dawson First Year Teacher Award"in recognition of her many years of devoted service to public education. In 2005, Glenda was given the honor of receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award from Sam Houston University, her alma mater.
Survivors include her daughter, Dee (Carlos); two grandchildren; mother, Ruby Miles; brother , Jesse Miles (Pat); sister (Darrell); many other loving family members and friends.
