Philip Ignatius, the fourth son, was born in Williamsburg, Virginia, June 19, 1836, graduated from William and Mary College, Virginia, and prepared himself for the practice of law. He came to Texas and settled at Wheelock, Robertson County, subsequently removing to Chambers County, and thence to Richmond, Texas, in each of which places he was engaged in planting and the practice of his profession. He was a well-to-do planter, and a prominent railroad attorney. He died in Houston, July 15, 1872. (Source: History of Texas Biographical History of the Cities of Houston and Galveston (1895)
