Mrs. Patricia Ann Willey, 76, died at home in Canton on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Breeland Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Breeland Funeral Home on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5-7 pm. Services will be held at Center Terrace Baptist Church in Canton at 2 pm on Friday, January 29, 2016 followed by interment at Canton Cemetery.
Patricia was born January 3, 1940 in Carthage, Mississippi to the late, Hughlan Ellis and Maugerette King. Patricia married George Willey in 1955 and they were married for 58 years. She was an active member of Center Terrace Baptist Church for over 47 years and faithfully taught Sunday school classes and served on numerous committees. She currently held two positions as church clerk and teacher of Adult II Ladies Sunday School Class. She was also an active member of Canton Garden Club. Patricia worked diligently beside her husband and sons in the oil and gas industry for many years until her retirement. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a hard worker and loving, dedicated mom and friend.
Patricia is survived by her husband, George Sanders Willey of Canton; two sons, Gregory Sanders Willey and wife, Sylvia Willey of Chantilly, Virginia and David DeWayne Willey of Canton; one grandchild, Brett Willey of Chantilly, Virginia; brothers, Carbin Ellis, Sr. of Lena and Marcus Ellis of Yazoo City.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center Terrace Baptist Church, 605 East Peace Street, Canton, Mississippi 39046.
