Benjamin “Franklin” Lambert, age 88, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He was born October 17, 1927 in Vimy Ridge, Arkansas, the son of the late Herman Lambert and Bernice Sanders Lambert. Mr. Lambert was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lucille Spann Lambert; and sons, Benjamin Franklin Lambert, Jr. and Steven Bruce Lambert.

Left to cherish his memory, wife, Wanda Butler Cato Lambert of Evans, Georgia; sons, Roger Lambert of Vimy Ridge and Danny Ray Cato and his wife, Millie of Mexico, Missouri; daughters, Cindy Bradford and her husband, Bob of Sheridan and Debbie Cato Mitchell of Evans, Georgia; grandchildren, Alex (Natalie) Bradford, Calley Bradford, Kelly Lambert, Sarah Lambert, Beth (Trevor) Allen, Blake (Samantha) Lambert, Evan (Angela) Mitchell, and Mike Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Emma Clara Bradford, Benjamin Lambert, Cate and Cedar Allen, Roy, Morgan, Bryson, Maddie, Bellamy, and Mikenza Mitchell.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock with Brother Robert Wiegel and Brother Charles Law officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
