Mr. Ted Lewis Thomas, 82, of Sanford, died Saturday at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.
Mr. Thomas, born in Harnett County, was the son of the late Sidney G. Thomas and Maggie Kate Cameron Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Lewis Thomas and brothers Cecil and Gattis Thomas.
He was a Veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret McNeill Thomas of Durham, a daughter, Connie Thomas McNeill and husband Donald of Durham; brothers, Sidney "Snookie" Thomas and wife Janice of Sufffolk, VA; Halford Thomas and wife Gail of Lillington and Larry Thomas and wife Nikki of Moorseville; sisters, Violet Thomas Braxton of Fayetteville, and Ruth Thomas Cashion and husband Roy of Sanford; a daughter-in-law, Gail Thomas of Lillington; and grandchild, Travis Michael Thomas of Lillington.
The family received friends 12:30 pm, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 to funeral time at the church.
The funeral services were held at 2 pm, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Leaflet Presbyterian Church at Harnett County, NC with the Pastor David Priddy officiating.
Burial was made in the Church Cemetery.
