Dolores (Dee) Parker Boyd, 87, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
Dee was born on August 10, 1928 in Sioux Falls, SD, to Willard and Lillian (Gjovig) Beckstrom. She married Glen Parker on October 12, 1946 in Canton, SD. She worked as an x-ray technician in Sioux Falls. After the family moved to Helena she worked for the Helena Public Schools and later Montana Board of Investments. She married Alexander Boyd on August 14, 2005 in Helena.
She is survived by her husband; daughter Lynn Roberts (Jack); sons Scott Parker and Eric Parker (Kirsi) all of Helena; brother Gordon Beckstrom (Delna) of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matthew English, Rebecca English Canright, Ryan Roberts, Christine Parker, Eva Thompson, Joshua Parker, Sarah Slyker, DanniLee Musson, Jesse Albright, Zachary Rowland and Aidan Parker, and 17 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Glen, daughter Roxanne, her parents, three brothers and a sister.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7th at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2410 Belt View Dr., with a reception to follow in the social hall of the Church. A burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Harrison. Memorial contributions can be made to Capital View Christian School, P.O. Box 4373, Helena, MT 59604.
