Born November 5, 1929 in the town of Fulton, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Alvira (Swart) Lott.
She was married to Philip Bishop on June 1, 1949. He died June 26, 1978.
Rose was a homemaker and longtime member of the Lutheran church. Also, she loved her pets as she took care of several cats and dogs over the years. Some activities she enjoyed included sewing, reading, writing and traveling. Rose learned to play the guitar at a young age, it became a skill she enjoyed throughout her life.
Survivors include three cousins, Carolyn Hamm, Eileen Sweeney, and Francis Adams; a godchild, Cheryle McGuire of Reading, Pennsylvania; and her close friends and neighbors.
Spring burial will be in Carlisle Rural Cemetery.
