Bill O. Price, a retired Beechcraft Raytheon manager, passed away Jan. 24, 2016, passed away at his Augusta home after a short battle with cancer.
Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
He was born in Gotebo, Okla. on Sept. 30, 1933. He grew up on farms, the son of Orville and Jewell Price in Cloud Chief, Okla. After graduation from Cloud Chief, he attended Oklahoma University on a baseball scholarship. At OU he chose to enlist in R.O.T.C. and after graduation he served as an officer in the U.S. Army. Upon discharge he took employment with Boeing in Wichita. This was followed by other aerospace corporations, Thiokol, Douglas, Litton, and finally Beechcraft.
He was always an avid OU fan and enjoyed playing golf. In retirement he enjoyed reading western books and trading books with new friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Bob Price.

Billy and Bobby Price were raised by their father's second wife. They were the biological children of Rena Lominick Peek Green. Rena and Orville were divorced about 1940, but the family was still listed together in the 1930 and 1940 census.
