Mr. Terry Wayne Bishop, age 78 of Montgomery, Louisiana passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was retired from Union Pacific Railroad. Mr. Bishop was a 1956 graduate of Atlanta High School, after which he served in the National Guard. Mr. Bishop married Betty Lee Carr in 1958 and raised his girls in McGehee, AR for 22 years before moving to Bentley, LA. Mr. Bishop enjoyed hunting, gardening, camping, and fishing.

Born Monday, October 11, 1937 in Montgomery, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his father, Ollie Lloyd Bishop; mother, Mary Evelyn Durham Bishop; brother, Norris Bishop; and Betty Carr Bishop.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn Bryant Bishop, Montgomery, LA; daughters, Terrie Bishop Turner (Dean), Little Rock, AR and Tammy Bishop Witherspoon (Darren), Midlothian, TX; Son, Bryan Keith Jordan (Denise), Montgomery, LA; grandchildren, Matt Buchy, Samantha Speights, Vanessa Witherspoon, Brady Atkins, and Mason Jordan; great grandchildren, Addison and Silas; Sister, Nellwyn Bishop Metcalf (Willie), Westlake, LA; and sister-in-law, Ernestine Hanson Bishop.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Northside Baptist Church, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM , and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Montgomery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Tema Brouillette, Johnny Voss, Kent Buller, Mike Poisso, Robert Fredieu, Mike Buller, Willie Metcalf, Hon., and Mike Bishop, Hon.
