Melinda Sue (Brown) Fulmer, 53, Walton, passed away at 11:40 am on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Logansport Memorial Hospital. She was born the daughter of Dr. William and Sharon (Theesfeld) Brown October 21, 1962 in Kokomo.

Melinda grew up in Kokomo, graduating from Northwestern High School in 1981. Shortly after high school, she moved to a suburb of Washington D.C., where she had her daughter, Kori. She then moved to a small town outside of St. Louis. She held various banking positions including branch manager.

In 1987, Melinda returned to the Kokomo area where she worked in the title search business. In the 1990s, she started her own abstracting business, which she continued up until her passing.

She was a great mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and a friend to many across several counties. She loved and adored her granddaughter, Annabelle. She enjoyed going to the Abraham Lincoln Museum, movies, and musicals with her. She also loved sharing meals with Annabelle, Kori, and her mother, Sharon and spoiling her dog, Abby. She was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.

She is survived by her daughter, Kori Anne Wood; granddaughter, Annabelle Marie Hintz; and mother, Sharon Kaye Brown of Kokomo; sisters Kimberly (Ronald) DePew of Liberty Township, Ohio, and Lisa (Thomas) Davis of Searcy, Arkansas; nieces and nephews Ronald (Lea) DePew of Monroe, Ohio, Jackie DePew of Mason, Ohio, Thomas DePew (Monica Alsip) of Madiera, Ohio, Kammie DePew of Cincinnati, Ohio, Amber (Kyle) Pierson, Megan Davis (Devin Simmons), Jessica Davis all of Searcy, Arkansas; great-grandnieces/nephews Dylan DePew, Bentley DePew, Brooklyn DePew, and Ellie Kaye Simmons; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. William Brown.

Funeral services , January 29, 2016 at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer 705 Southway Blvd. East, Kokomo with Pastor William Allison and Pastor Barry Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery. Friends may call upon the family at the church on , January 28, 2016 and January 29, 2016. Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory are assisting with the arrangements.
