Graveside services for Marjorie Campbell Timberlake, Sea Pines Plantation, will be held Tuesday at Six Oaks Memorial Park. Mrs. Timberlake died Sunday at Hilton Head Hospital after a long illness. A native of San Antonio, Texas, she was the daughter of the late George Daniel and Georgia Edwards Campbell. She was born Nov 24, 1932. She married E. J. Timberlake, a newly commissioned Air Force Pilot. From the time of her marriage until Lieutenant General Timberlake’s retirement, she was in Honolulu, San Antonio, Washington, Japan, Germany, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. She moved to Hilton Head Island in 1965 from Warner Robins, Georgia.

Besides her husband, General Timberlake, she is survived by a son, Colonel E. J. Timberlake III of Alexandria, Virginia; two daughters, Marjorie Foster of Hilton Head Island and Shirley Martin of Roanoke, Virginia; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that those who wish make memorial contributions to the Hilton Head Rescue Squad. The Island Funeral Home is in charge.
