LAMBING – Irene E., 99, Indiana, formerly of Strongstown, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Scenery Hill Manor in Indiana. Born Sept. 24, 1914, in Strongstown, daughter of the late George L. and Helen Mary Paul Miller. Mrs. Lambing retired from Indiana Hospital in 1980, where she was a surgical assistant. She attended the Faith Brethren Church and was an avid flower gardener. Survived by brothers, Albert Miller and Edward Miller, both of Strongstown; sisters, Thelma C. Miller, Indiana; Alverda E. Joy, Greenville, N.C.; and Cora M. Scholl, Strongstown; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Merville L., Theodore, Howard, and infant Clarence Miller; and sisters, Luella Covack, Blanche Hoover, Goldie Edward and Talitha Boyer. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Robinson-Lytle Inc., Indiana, the Rev. Dr. Horace Derr, officiating.
