Betty Benton Copeland of Hawthorne Glen Senior Living Campus in Middletown and a longtime resident of Fairborn, OH, danced down the streets of gold into her Savior’s arms, Saturday. January 23, 2016. From her birth in Nicholsville, KY on May 31, 1929 to her death on Saturday, Betty was a wonderful example of faith, hope, and charity. She touched the lives of many people with her contagious smile and laughter as well as with her generosity ands love. Betty truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as chatting, eating, dancing, bowling and spending time with her family. Her trademark sense of humor and unwavering faith radiated to the end.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Allen B. Crawford and Carrilla (Watts) Crawford Shank; her husband Jim Copeland; her two sisters, Wanda Ann (Hezlep) and Jeannettea Moss and a great nephew, Ryan Rashidian. Left behind to cherish Betty’s laughter and spontaneous fun are her nieces and nephews: Tangi (Bob) Cunningham of Trenton, OH, Kathy Hezlep of Florida, David Hezlep of Trenton, OH, Tim (Sue) Hezlep of Middletown, OH, Matthjew (Betsy) and Larry Moss of Florida; great nieces and nephews: Shandi (Ron) Meadows and sons Gunnar and Carson, Rob and Taylor Cunningham, Josh and Haylee Hezlep, MIchael Price and Lee-Ann Hall. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Hawthorne Glen Senior Living Campus for their loving care.
