Roy M. Walters 75, passed away Saturday, January 23rd, in Abilene. He was born June 20,1940 in Abilene, the son of Harold and Joy (Leffingwell) Walters. Growing up in the area, Roy attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1959. He had been employed by McKee Gardens and then Ronald Rice Motors until retiring. Roy enjoyed family gatherings, tinkering with and repairing things, model cars and practical jokes. He was preceded in death by his father, twin nephews and twin niece and nephew.
The family has chosen cremation. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to the Roy Walters memorial fund. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 785 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
