Janelle is survived by her husband, Edward (Ted) Thomas, her parents, Charlene and Ted Boyd of Boise, ID, and by her three brothers Tim (Wilma), Dennis and Eddie (Bridget) and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Edie.
Janelle was born on October 10, 1955 on McClellan Air Force Base, CA, the eldest child of Ted and Charlene Boyd. At age 10, Janelle contracted juvenile diabetes, with which she struggled for the next fifty years. Janelle’s perseverance in adversity with this and many other health problems inspired respect and admiration from those that knew her. It was never easy for her but Janelle was always hard-working, kind and patient, especially with her nieces and nephews, many of whom stayed with her in her home for extended periods and learned valuable life lessons from her. She loved her parents and her friends dearly as well.
Janelle also loved animals, in particular horses and dogs. She enjoyed establishing top bloodlines, training, and volunteer veterinary assistant work, and never went anywhere without her dog as a companion.
Janelle passed away peacefully after a long illness. She will be remembered as a shining light to her family and friends. We will treasure her memory always.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at the L.D.S Church, 6575 S. Eagle Road, Meridian, Idaho. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Janelle's life. Private Committal and Dedicatory services preceded the memorial at the Dry Creek Cemetery.
