Lorraine D. Bailey, 88, of New Castle, passed away the night of October 14, 2014 at Jameson Care Center.Born May 9, 1926 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Michael Joseph Donovan and Margaret Risher Donovan.She was preceded in death on January 22, 1997 by her husband of 46 years, Richard R. Bailey, whom she married on August 18, 1951.She attended New Castle High School, graduating with the class of 1944.For 32 years she was employed with Penn Power Company as a customer service rep and later was a member of the Penn Power Retirees.Lorraine enjoyed watching sports on television, sewing, and bowling with her Fun-at-One bowling league.A member of St. Camillus Church, she served on the Apostolate Committee.Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Michele "Micki" and Jack Handte of New Castle.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 brother, Tom Donovan; and 4 sisters, Eileen Donovan, Janet Sturgeon, June Rink, and Ann Donovan.
