EDDIE RAY BAKER, 83, of Paris, passed from this life Saturday January 23, 2016 at Dubuis Hospital of Paris. Eddie was born May 26, 1932 in Delta County, a son of Mack O. and Exie Baker.

He attended public schools in Paris, then was a loyal employee of Campbell’s Soup Company in their maintenance department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but his greatest joys were times spent with family and with his church family at The Cowboy Church in the Bible Camp.

He married the former Bobbie Shew on May 27, 1950. She preceded him in death on January 2, 2008.

Those left behind to cherish their memories are a son, Eddie Wayne Baker and wife Nancy, of Powderly; two grandchildren, Chris Baker and wife Deana, and Lisa Martin, all of Powderly; two great-grandchildren, Lane and Cory Martin; a brother, Glenn Baker and wife Carol, of Frisco, five sisters-in-law; a brother-in law, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside rites will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 26, 2016 in the pavilion at Long Cemetery in Powderly, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Bobbie, with Rev. Duane Hamil and Wade White officiating.
