Addison Jack Green went to be with the Lord he had served all his life on Jan. 20, 2016.

Jack was born March 28, 1930, in Marion, La., to Jesse L. Green and Clara Reagan Green, the fourth of five boys. He died of heart disease at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Shreveport under the leadership of Dr. Jeff Raines, with a time of fellowship afterwards.

A graduate of Louisiana College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Jack served as minister of education at churches in Louisiana, Texas and Missouri, wrote children's Sunday school curriculum and was a Southern Baptist Convention Foreign Mission Board missionary to Brazil for six years.

Jack was a man of many talents who could not bear to sit still. He enjoyed gardening, singing in the choir and teaching children's Sunday school at First Baptist Church of Shreveport, volunteering at Meadowview Elementary School, creating stained glass pieces, sewing, cooking and baking -- especially anything chocolate.

He loved traveling, church music, a well-played pipe organ and, most of all, his wife, his family and friends, who will cherish his memory always.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, first wife, Gypsy Williams Green, and brothers Miles Green and Leemon Green.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Carolle Williams Green; son Jackie L. Green his wife, Cindy, and granddaughters Jaci and Caeli; and daughter Cindy Green, all of Louisville, Ky.; granddaughters Carly Bertolino and Lara Bertolino, both of Perth, Australia; brothers Glen Green, of Monroe, and Gawain Green and wife Judi, of Marion; a host of nephews and nieces and in-laws Jeanne Williams, Ramona and Paul Geldart, and Cynthia and Mark Barnes, all of Overland Park, Kan.; and Dan and Kyle Williams, of Mesa, Ariz.

Thanks be to God.
