Barbara L. Garcia, 72, passed away Jan. 22, 2016.
She was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Walsenburg, Colo., to Andy and Ernestine Jacquez, who preceded her in death; along with her husband, Luis Garcia; siblings, Joe, Rafael, Thomas, George, Helen Francis, Mary Louise and Penelope. Barbara retired as a psych tech from CMHIP. She enjoyed watching TV and going to Cripple Creek. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Penelope A. Jacquez, Johnathan Garcia and Louis Garcia Jr.; grandchild-ren, Brendon Carreon, Jeremiah Garcia, Adrieanna Arellano, Jonette Garcia; great- grandchildren, Gabe Jacquez, Helena Carreon, Thomas and Javen Garcia; siblings, Don (Diane) Jacquez, Christopher (Debbie) Jacquez, Cecelia (Max) Jacquez, Diane (Steve) Garcia and Linda Reveteriano. Memorial Mass, 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, at St. Francis Catholic Church.
