Born in Bronough, Mo., he is survived by his wife, Delores Mitchum of Yakima; two daughters, Patricia Oswalt of Goldendale and Susan Ohler of Hillsboro, Ore; a son, David Mitchum of Yakima; a brother, Carl Mitchum of Florida; and 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The graveside service is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Keith & Keith Funeral Home, Yakima.
