Probate and other records seem to indicate he owned property in Center Twp., just east of Greenfield, adjacent the National Road, in Hancock Co., IN.
It cannot be proven with certainty that Jeremiah was buried in the Old Cemetery, but it was in use as a burial ground by the time of his death. Both his uncle, and namesake, and cousin were buried in the same location. In addition, according to her death notice, his daughter and son-in-law were also buried there. If his unmarked grave isn't in the Old Cemetery, he must have been buried on his land, on the east side of what is now Greenfield.
