Tommy was born in Hope on August 9, 1945, to Gerald and Cleo Arterbury Hamm.
He was a retired sprinkler fitter, a member of local union No. 669, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw. He loved to go fishing and hunting; and traveling to see new places.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald and Floyd Hamm.
Survivors include three sons, Chad, Shane, and Michael Hamm; his special friend, Mary Hinton of Perrytown; and nephew, Dr. Darren Hamm.
It is Tommy's request that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, or to the Boy Scouts: Texarkana Troop No. 13 or to the Boy Scout Troop of Hope.
Visitation is set for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, 1001 S. Main, in Hope.
Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, at Bodcaw No. 1 Cemetery, with Bro. Lane Garner officiating.
