Mr. Kyle A. Woods, age 86, of Forrest City, died Wednesday at the Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City. He had been in poor health for the past several months.

Mr. Woods was born July 30, 1929, in Tupelo, Arkansas, and was the son of Kyle K. Woods and Hazel Collier Woods. He was in the furniture business where he owned Economy Furniture and had worked for Gilbert/Jones and Parker Furniture stores, and was a former Forrest City Civic Center treasurer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he had served as a teacher, Training Union Director, and Deacon.

Mr. Woods married Verna Hodges in 1950, and she survives him along with two sons; Drew Woods, and wife, Lyn, and James Woods, and wife, Patty, all of Camden, one daughter, Brenda Woods Glidewell of Fayetteville, ten grandchildren; Andy, Ashley, Weston, Bryce, Clay, Cara, Cassie, and Christian, Colt, and Cade, and two great-grandchildren; Abby and Woods. He had one sister, Virginia Woods Danehower, who preceded him in death.
