James "Austin" Edlin, of Memphis, Tennessee died on January 20, 2016 at the Methodist Hospice Home. He was just 92 years old. Born in Abbeville, Mississippi and attended Abbeville High School, Mr. Edlin went on to serve in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Union Avenue Masonic Lodge and most important to him was the 55 years he worked for the Coca Cola Company most of which was in the advertising department. The family will gather from 8:30AM - 10AM with funeral services beginning at 10AM all at Memphis Funeral Home located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38119. Mr. Edlin was preceded in death by his daughter Jayme Edlin Loeffel. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Carolyn "Sally" Edlin; son Mark Edlin of Dallas, TX; sisters Annelle Farmer of Portland, OR, and Evelyn Gibson of Kenner, LA; brother Dwayne Edlin of Oxford, MS; three granddaughters Lesley Loeffel of Memphis; and Lauren & Alexandra Edlin both of Dallas.
