The family removed from Boston to the Mount Wollaston area about 1637/8. The town of Braintree was incorporated in 1639/40.

Most sources indicate Joseph died young, but do not provide a death or burial location.

John, an older brother of Joseph, is the one who died after cutting his leg with a scythe in Wequetequock Cove. He bled to death. John is recorded as being the first "white" person buried in Wequetequock Burial Ground.

Leaving the burial location for Joseph "as is" for now. More research is needed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
