1.) We were very sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. C. J. Peters last Saturday morning. Mrs. Peters has been in poor health for years and about a month ago she became so bad it became necessary to get someone to take care of her and she failed steadily since then.
They sent for her son last Sunday and he and his wife and two children came up and spent a day and night with her. The son being a farmer, had to return to his work, but her daughter-in-law and granddaughter stayed with her until the end.

2.) MARY EMILY BARNT PETERS Mary Emily Bamt was born in Tucarovis county, Ohio, on March 1, 1857. At the age of ten years she removed to Tama county, Iowa, with her mother, and brothers and sisters, where she lived until the age of 22 years.
On January 15, 1880, she was united in marriage to Cyrus J. Peters. To this union there was born one son, Otis L. D., now residing at New London, Mo., who with his wife, son and family were present at the funeral.
She was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints November 24, 1896, and remained a steadfast believer to the end.
She departed from this life on May 19, 1934, at 5:30 a. m. at the age of 77 years, 2 months, and 18 days, leaving her husband, one son, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild to mourn her departure.
Funeral services were held at the White Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Pastor Blair Jensen preaching the sermon, and G. W. Blair assisting. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery
