Married Carl Gustav Jung, the prominent psychiatrist and founder of analytical psychology, on 14 February 1903. They had five children (four daughters and one son); Agathe, Gret, Marianne, Helene, and Franz.

Emma was a psychotherapist and author. Her writings include "Animus and Anima", and "The Grail Legend" which was co-authored with Marie-Luise von Franz.
