Mrs. Edith Montgomery, age 50 years, 3018 Lafayette Avenue, passed away Sunday evening, December 20th, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Montgomery was born in Proctor, Arkansas, and had been a resident of Omaha since 1952. She was employed with AT&T for twenty years until her retirement in 1986.

Mrs. Montgomery united with the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in 1952 where she served faithfully as a member of the Adult Choir and Usher Board.

She is survived by three sons, Frederick Montgomery, Kansas City, Missouri, Euell Montgomery III, Omaha; two daughters, Frances Montgomery-McKoy, Deborah Harris; mother, Mrs. Lillie Mae Hoof; four brothers, Freddie Brown, Richard Brown, James Brown, Levi Brown; sister Janie Nelson, Omaha; 6 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held ten o'clock Saturday morning, December 26th, from the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Internment was in Graceland Park Cemetery.
