A man of high principles, who never hesitated to stand for what he believed in, a modern Don Quixote, went on to battle in a higher arena on January 20, 2016. His friends and family mourn his passing. He was unfailingly loyal to his friends and willingly helped many in need. He was a very caring person, who was never boring.

Lynn Allan Jenkins was born January 31, 1941, in Pocatello, Idaho to William T. Jenkins and Melba Julia Campbell, 20 minutes before his twin brother.

He married Linda Marie Mitchell on August 22, 1962, later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was the lucky father of six terrific people: Julie Jenkins, Lynn II (Gayla Keel) Jenkins, Andrew (Lisa Gift) Jenkins, Jodie (Mick) McDougall, Michelle (Brian) Passey and Michael Jenkins; grandfather to: Nicholas (Tiffany) Jenkins, Kortnie (Scott) Haslam, Parker (Michael Martinez) Jenkins, Alexander (David Berge) Post van der burg, Chelsea (Wyatt Hill) McDougall, Marley Passey and Max Passey; and great-grandfather to Christian Haslam and Emmery McDougall.

When once asked what Lynn did for a living, Linda replied, "whatever he pleases". He was a proud, old Marine, real estate broker, property developer and built the first screen satellite dish in the U.S. He loved pioneer history and old maps.

His parents predeceased him. He is survived by his wife; brothers, William Jenkins and Lyle Jenkins; children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his much loved German Shepherd, Mac.

Lynn's funeral will be held at the Val Verda 5th Ward, 2633 S. 50 W. Bountiful, on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, Bountiful, UT 84010 on Monday, January 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. prior to the service at the church.

Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
