Nancy was born in Bronston, Kentucky on Monday, March 29th, 1954, daughter of the late Estil Forda Martin and Leona Decker Martin. Nancy was a 1972 graduate of Burnside High School. She loved traveling, camping, riding motorcycles, cooking, and cookouts. Nancy especially loved spending time with her family and her dog, "Toby".
Nancy was survived by her loving husband of fourteen years, Donnie McClendon, whom she married in Nancy, Kentucky on September 1st, 2001; two daughters, Stacey (and Justin) Lowery of Somerset, Kentucky and Heather (and Joe) Roberts of Burnside, Kentucky; a stepson, Trevor (and Tabitha) McClendon of Bronston, Kentucky; three stepdaughters, Stephanie McClendon of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Stacy (and Dave) Sandlin of Hamilton, Ohio, and Tradon (and Dustin) Warren of Nancy, Kentucky; three brothers, Wayne (and Judy) Martin of Somerset, Kentucky, Sam (and Melinda) Martin of Tateville, Kentucky, and Russell (and Monieva) Martin of Cedar Grove, Kentucky; two sisters, Connie (and Jimmy) Burton of Somerset, Kentucky and Cindy (and Barry) New of Somerset, Kentucky; fifteen grandchildren, LeAnna Lowery, J.D. Lowery, Austin Flynn, Kayla Roberts, Heather Mattingly, Destiny Mattingly, Savanna Bradley, Audrea Bradley, Katlin Overbey, Olivia Sandlin, Isaac McClendon, Isabelle McClendon, Emma McClendon, Ella McClendon, and Marcus Warren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Estil Martin, who departed this life on January 26th, 2009 and Leona Martin, who departed this life on September 1st, 2011; one brother, Roger Martin; and one sister, Betty Sellers.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28th, 2016 in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Harris officiating.
Musical selections were: Wind Beneath My Wings, Amazing Grace, Because You Loved Me, and Take My Hand Precious Lord.
Burial followed in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
