Born in Wilkes-Barre, May 31, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie Ayers. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School.
She was employed for many years as a sales clerk at the former A.S. Beck Shoe Store. She was later employed at Bartikowsky Jewelers, Wilkes-Barre.
She was a lifelong member of the Bennett-Derr United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, and its United Methodist Women and the Denominations and Personnel Committee. She was also a member of the St. Nicholas Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L., in 1981.
Surviving are two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, Park Avenue and South Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Betty Reilly, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
