Emily Parque Taylor was born June 7, 1918, in Morence [Morenci], AZ and died August 17, 2015 in Elko, NV. Emily's childhood was spent in the early days of Arizona statehood where the sheriff rode on horseback. At the age of 10, her family, including her 10 siblings, moved to Los Angeles, CA where she attended school.

Emily worked various jobs including a position as a film tech at Technicolor Studios cutting film for the war department. In addition, she worked at Sears where she met her husband of 64 years, Victor Wallace Taylor.

Victor's job at Sears moved them to Chicago and because of his position gave them the opportunity to travel the world. Upon Victor's retirement, they settled in Reno, NV where Emily continued working numerous jobs in the service industry including the Lawlor Events Center, Reno-Sparks Convention Center, and many other venues.

Always the gourmet chef, Emily hosted many gatherings for her large Italian family. Her greatest joy was her children Elmer Tim Taylor (Diane) and Lisa Taylor Dinwiddie (Kevin), her grandchildren Kathleen Dinwiddie Riskey (Kenneth) and Lainie Dinwiddie, as well as her great grandchildren Karissa, Kailey, and Keenan Riskey, all of who survived her.

Emily's caring personality grew from her strong faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sparks, NV. Her faith was lived out in her care and support of others including all of her siblings and husband who passed before her.

Emily spent her last few years living in Lamoille, NV, under the care of her daughter and other caregivers including Gail McDaniel, Jenny and Hannah Russell, Pam Hornbach, and Nicole Mayfield. Their love for Emily will always be remembered.

Emily will be buried in Fernley, Nevada at the Veterans Cemetery next to her husband.
