She was born in Waterbury, January 14, 1931, daughter of Harold and Agnes Jane (Somers) LaMountain.
Katherine attended High School in Shoreham and Bristol.
She was a caregiver, 4-H leader in Addison, active in the Addison School Library, EMT on the Mount Holly Rescue Squad, coordinator of Mount Holly Green Up Day.
Katherine was a member of Mount Holly Fire Dept Auxiliary, Mount Holly Grange 513 and Eastern Star Keystone No. 5 holding the Star Point Esther and later to Conductress also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She enjoyed baking pies for community events, sketching, painting, sewing crafts, crocheting, making gifts for her family.
Her home, family, flowers , birds, nature and the mountains were her greatest pleasures. God's beautiful world was peace and joy, and a wonder to her.
Surviving are two sons and there wives, a stepdaughter, a stepsister, her former husband, 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Wade, on Feb. 26, 2005; two daughters Holly Ashley and Roxanne Jane Bannister; two sons Wolfsong Provencher and Scott Provencher; a stepdaughter, Audrey Spooner; two stepsisters Elsie Delphia and Verna Rosebourgh.
A spring burial with family will be scheduled at a later date.
