Jerry Lee Slagle, 75, of Templeton RD#1 (Boggs Township) died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999 in the Oakland VA Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born May 2, 1924 in Templeton to Jared and Grace (Keesey) Slagle.

A Us Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Slagle was a prisoner of war.

He was a member of Faith Cathedral.

His hobby was hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years Elsie (Anderson) Slagle, whom he married Sept. 26, 1942; two sons Fred L Slagle of Butler and Jerry J Slagle of Stow, OH; two daughters, Cheryl D. Delaney of Templeton and Lisa D. Stroup of Ford City, 10 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; five brothers, John, Bill, Jack, and Earl Slagle; and two sisters, Virginia Milliken and Nancy Sabo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ossie and Bob Slagle; and two sisters, Evelyn Anderson and Anna Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999 at Faith Cathedral with the Rev. J. Wayne Baum and the Rev. Alfred Neal Reedy co-officiating. Interment will bi in Cochran Cemetery where a military Honor Guard services will be held.
