Lightening Kills Powell Valley Man
A Powell Valley Man was killed by a bolt of lightning last Sunday evening around 6 o'clock. James Edgar Quesenberry 55, a construction company employee, was struck by lightening while standing in the doorway of his Powell Valley home. Quesenberry was taken to the Norton General Hospital and the Norton Fire crew was called.
Firemen Jack Carr and Frank Duncan attempted in vain to revive him with a portable iron lung.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Quesenberry of Powell Valley: three children Alfred of Kingsport, Tennessee, Luella of Washington D. C. And Mrs. Virgie Fletcher of Norton, Virginia. Five brothers: Milton, Bob, Hyatt and Floyd.
three sisters: Becky, Estil and Nancy.
