OWEN WARREN OBITUARY
Warren, Owen Lee "Pete" of Horton, Michigan Passed away on January 21, 2016 at his home. He was born on June 11, 1933 in Hillsdale, Michigan to John and Cora (Densmore) Warren. Owen is survived by his wife, Janice (Cartmell); three sons, Owen "Rocky" Warren II, Douglas B. (Brenda) Warren and Gregg A. Warren; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one brother, John Warren. He was preceded in passing by his parents; his daughter, Sherry Warren; and four sisters, Frances, Helen, Dorothy and Beverly. Mr. Warren served our country in the United States Army for two terms of active duty during the Korean War Conflict. He was proud to be the first volunteer in Hillsdale County for the Korean War Conflict. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Pete enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to watch Michigan football and baseball. He also coached little league baseball for local teams in Horton. A funeral service to honor his life will be held at the Hanover Baptist Church (140 W. Allen Street, Hanover, 49241) on Monday, January 25, 2016 beginning at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Robert Shevy officiating. Interment will take place at the Horton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Hanover Baptist Church.
